I'm a photographer from Vancouver, Canada but I grew up Osaka, Japan. Before getting into photography, I painted occasionally. It was a visit to Cuba and its colourful little towns that got me interested in photography.
I had learned photo techniques from my cousin who was a TV cameraman when I was young. He insisted that I needed to use the manual setting when I shoot. When I was in my 20's, I had been subscribing to Japan Camera photo magazines monthly for a couple of years and I was amazed by the many beautiful landscapes photos that were taken by the famous photographers. Now I'm member of a local photo club as well as online photography websites.
I was short listed in a couple of photo contests and one of my photos was published in a special edition of Canadian Geographic entitled "Canada's Parks". I was awarded 4th place in the contest "Botanica and Beauty" from Online Comtemporary Art. My photo was also included 34th and 35th Annual Spring Photo Contest publication organized by Photographer's Forum.
I guide small group of private photo tourists to the site around Vancouver area. I have Japanese website and its details are in there so please contact me if you are intrested in. I love to visit Whistler for photo shooting.
